Work bag

My working in the office bag
Updated: 8 Sep 2025

This is my going to the office work bag. It's probably the same as your work bag, one of those Port Designs bags that companies buy in bulk and dish them out every now and again. This one replaced another Port bag whose strap broke. It's got a main pocket with a laptop pouch and a sleeve for my remarkable or something else slim. There's a tiny pocket at the top of the flap, ideal for post-it notes. There are a couple of other pouch-style pockets on the front for slim bits.

The side pockets house my glasses and a small dad first-aid kit; in the other side there's a multi-bit folding screwdriver and a teeny bottle of juice.

In the main part of the bag, there's my ProtoArc fold up keyboard. It's a full sized keyboard and a much better typing experience than the one stuck on my laptop.

In the pocket of the front flap pocket there's my travel mouse, I think it's called a Microsoft Arc mouse (I could be wrong though), it sits flat when not in use, then when you want to use it, it rolls out into an arc shape.

In the main body of the bag is my pencil case and a bag of cables (USBs, HDMI & Ethernet ) and a charger. I like keeping things together, so bags within a bag is right up my street. By keeping things in bags, when I want to take a different bag for whatever reason I just grab the bag I want and I know I've got everything I need.
