A collection of my favourite roller coasters, ride notes and theme park memories from M0MNF and TeamTiggy, including Energylandia, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Alton Towers and other parks we have visited or plan to visit.
I've been a fan of coasters for as long as I can remember. Until a chance chat with one of my colleagues at work (who is a real coaster enthusiast) my coaster riding had been limited to the usual UK parks. She told me about Energylandia, a couple of weeks later we were booked for our first visit.
Without someone giving me the idea I never really thought much about coasters in other countries. I knew they existed, but this echos a memory I have from the first time I went to Flamingo Land in Malton, North Yorkshire. I was probably about 13 or 14, we were on a family holiday in Scarborough and I remember not knowing how to process that they had a Corkscrew too, I had been on the one at Alton Towers, but that another one existed blew my mind.
Until the conversation with my colleague I hadn't thought too much about this memory. Coasters are not magical devices created by the parks or some omnipotent coaster creating force in the universe. They're machines made by companies for anyone who wants them! Of course there are multiple Corkscrews! Moment of clarity.
Anyway, I like coasters and here's a page about some of my favourites!
