Abyssus

Abyssus is in the far side of the park, in Aqualantis. It's a Vekoma Shockwave. The ride is water themed, the train cars are boat shaped, each car of the train has 2 rows of 2 seats. The seats are up above the body of the cars so you feel out in the open. The restraints are vest type, I think they're very comfortable and add to the open feeling on the ride.

The ride has two launches, the first is as you come out of the station and launches you into right hand curve and up into one of the many air time moments on the ride. The second launches you through a covered section and up into a hill that it takes slowly before diving into the second half of the ride.

The ride is very smooth throughout its length, the first half is calmer than the second half, it swoops and winds through itself mostly low to the ground. The ride's 4 inversions are in the second half which is much more intense than the first. The ride has lots of airtime, many sweeping direction changes, and some intense high G force moments.

Abyssus is one of my favourite rides in the park, despite this I don't have many pictures of it. Next time we go I will make a point of taking more!

The queue wanders through the ride up and down over itself, as with most rides here there's lockers for you to leave your bags, slightly annoyingly to get your bag after the ride you have to go back on yourself through the entrance. You exit the ride through the gift shop which has some great ride themed merchandise.

In the same area as Abyssus there's a tremendous ice cream shop, with plenty of seating outside to enjoy the ice cream and enjoy the ride you just experienced.
