Olight Seeker 4 Pro

I was a bit unsure about 2 torch reviews in a row, so I had planned to put this in with the other torches. That page got way too long and this torch is worth a review of it's own. So here it is.

I've got a couple of other Olight torches that I've been impressed with. I got this one in June 2025 there was some sort of special promotion on, knocking the price down and including a clip on light too. The clip light is much handier than I thought it was going to be. It's got a couple of white LEDs and a red LED.

The torch has an aluminum body and a plastic lens. There's 4 x LEDs described by Olight as High Performance cool white LEDs. The torch is 133mm long, 30mm diameter along the body, 35mm at the head and weighs about 206gr. The reflector is quite shallow with focusing elements mounted directly above the LEDs. The reflector is well finished and produces a decent pool of local light, a well blended hot spot and a great beam length (260m). The LEDs are thermally protected, on turbo mode they get toasty pretty quickly. When it dims down, the dimming is smooth.

The castellations ahead of the lens are quite descreet triangles, I'm not a fan of big agressive ones. They protect the lens and they're not offensive, so I'm OK with them! The torch has a sweeping range of power levels thanks to the rotating button. The preset modes are Olight provide the 13Hz figure for the strobe, but it flashes way faster than that.

The interface is a single rotating botton. The button and surround are some sort of coated alloy. A single click turns the torch on, double click turns it on straight into turbo mode and a triple click activates the strobe. A long press turns it on in moonlight mode. Long press when it's on and it scorlls through brithness levels. When it's on the rotating button smoothly increases / decreases the brightness. The texture on the button is deep and easy to use, even with gloves on. The interface on this is way better than my Fenix torches, I'd like to see more torch manufacturers develop something similar.

At the side of the button is a series of "laser microperforations" (tiny holes) so the LED indicators show through what looks like solid metal. The right side of the button shows battery level and the left shows lamp power, they stay lit for a few seconds when you turn the torch on and change the brightness. The photo's are pretty close here and you can see the perforations, in real life you cant seen them until the LEDs under them come on. The indicator LEDs sweep up to show you the power level, which is a nice touch.

The light has an interesting lock feature. When you turn the torch off, it locks itself about 10 seconds after the indicator LEDs have gone off. To unlock it you rotate the knob a quarter turn then press the button. It becomes instinctive almost immediately, I find myself spinning it like a fidget toy!

The head and body of the torch are a single piece, the tail unscrews and is weather sealed with an O ring and well cut threads. The torch is IPX8 waterproof - deeper than 1.5m for an extended period, even the heaviest rain is no problem. The body is wrapped in a silicone sleeve which is textured and says Seeker 4 Pro on it. I'm concerned about the long term viability of this, in my experience with sleeves the glues all eventually end up giving way and they start to peel away. Hopefully it doesn't happen, if it does, hopefully it's easy to remove and the torch is well finished under the sleeve. This is a problem for future Mark though!

The torch takes a 5000 mAh, 21700 cell which is included. The torch has a base that is compatible with the optional magnetic charger. My Arkfield came with a magnetic USB, it's a bit of a jip that this doesn't. I was far too tight to spend whatever they wanted for one for this torch.

If like me, you're too tight to buy a magnetic wire (it's a bigger one than the Arkfield) fear not, the inclucded holster has a USB C charge port on it. It takes about 3 hours to charge the cell (assuming you have a beefy charger).

The holster has a magnetic base too, so the torch is snapped to it. The holster is close fitting and takes quite a shove to get the torch in initially. The magnet also dims the torch if you turn it on in the holster. I've 3D printed a clip (like the optional horizontal holster) so you can put it over your belt and use it hands free at waist level.

The holster is made out of fairly substantial plastic, it's flexible enough and feels like it'd be fine if you dropped it. The torch balances nicely when you holster it.

The battery slides smoothly into the body of the torch (positive end down) and the sprung botton contact in the end cap holds it securely with no rattles or wobbles. The magnetic base lifts the cell out when you remove it so it's nice and easy if you want to get it out.

The O ring sits on the body of the torch, the threads joining the two sections together are well machined and coated with grease out of the box. The threading is smooth and the torch fits together nicely. The O ring offers a nice amount of resistance when you screw the end cap down. I've not unscrewed the end that many times, but the coating is still 100%, no scratching or coming away. It makes a nice well made noise when you screw it together.

The cell sits nice and flush with the end of the torch, everything about the torch is well made and has been well thought through. The details on the torch are all well finished with no roughness, the coating is lightly textured and in real life provides a matt glow finish to the torch. The writing on the torch and at the sides of the button are stencil painted on, time will tell how this wears. In the few months I've had the torch I've not got any wear or discolouration, so far everything is still perfect. It's been tossed in a rucksack a few times, in my work bag, in the car gloove box.

Thoughts

The torch is brilliant. It's well made, not too heavy and very powerful with the ability to set the light level to whatever your situation requires. The colour is eveny applied to the body, probably not to everyone's taste but I like it! The holster provides an easy way to charge, store and carry the torch. The interface is great and the LED indicator lights are a good idea. The torch is worth every penny. If you want a lightweight (for the output) high power torch, look no further than thisS.
Pros
High Power · USB C Charging · Great UI
Cons
Pricey · Magnetic cable is optional
