Tile Pro Trackers.

I bought these so we could keep track of things from a distance. Eldest child put one in his bag when he went on a school trip to France, youngest takes his to footy camp, we put them in suit cases when we go on planes.
I ordered two sets of two tiles during a couple of t'internet sales, they were about half the normal price. I don't pay for the premium subscription service, although I did try it for a month. The only useful feature was the location history, but that's only useful because the Tile network isn't huge.
I was hoping that I would love these things, they look nice, feel premium, they're easy to put into or on things. But there's just not enough users of the Tile app to make them truly useful. The thing can go for miles before it pings off a tile beacon. Maybe there's loads of tile people in your area and the network is great, but round these parts and the parts I've been to, it's sporadic at best.

Tracking

These things are bluetooth radios. They send out beacons identifying themselves, the beacons are picked up by devices (phones) that have the Tile app installed. The device that picks it up reports its position and the ID of the Tile that it heard to the Tile cloud and tadaa you know where your thing was when it was heard by a device.
They are only compatible with the Tile cloud, if they were to open these things up to the google find my network, then this would be the perfect device. But with the Tile app lock, they're a bit meh.
I chose the Pro ones because they have a wider range, upto 120m. They also have user replacable coin cells.
I got two black ones and two white ones. They each have a slightly differnet lanyard, so it's easy for us to tell which one is which.

Carry

They weigh about 15gr. They're 59mm long, 34mm wide, 6mm deep.
They take a 2032 coin cell. Tile say the cells last abot 1 year.
They have a hole at the top to attach it to your stuff. They are easy to squirrel away in a bag, case, pocket etc.

Pros
Look great · Slim & small · Replacable cell
Cons
Network is small & therefore tracking is sporadic (at least in the UK & Eurpoe)
