The next train
The kids have been off school this week. Fin is in the middle of his GCSEs so we decided against going away for a week and instead did days out with Mitch and a couple of days in Blackpool for us all. We spent Friday on the Pleasure Beach. Just after 1300 they closed the queues on Big One and loaded another train on. A couple of weeks ago Fin and I did the walk the big one experience, as part of the tour they explained the process for adding a new train, naturally we weren't going to miss the opportunity to watch it happening. When our train came back to the station, the queue had shrunk right down. We chatted to the operations team outside the ride and they told us they'd be adding the train after a couple more laps. We walked round to the bridge and waited. Nicky and Mitch weren't that interested so they went and rode Revolution while Fin and I watched. Once the ride was closed, the current train parked up outside, the track lifted up with the second train on then rolled out of the station for a test lap and the queue opened back up. Poetry in motion.
