Rosslyn Chapel
I've been up on the Forth bridge a few times, it's lovely. So good that we got my dad a trip up for his birthday this year. We drove up on Saturday and as we walked into the hotel, I got an email saying "Soz, it's well windy, we're having to cancel the trip up". They did also message the day before saying, it's proper windy up here, we might have to cancel your trip, if you're travelling and want a refund no problem, let us know and we'll sort it. We ignored it and went up anyway.
It was howling when we got up there, but it's not often you get to spend a couple of days with your dad, so we went anyway pretty confident that it would be cancelled. We went the long way through Moffat rather than the motorway. It was beautiful, clear blue skies, classic father son road trip.
We had a great meal on Saturday night in a Persian place 15 minutes from the bridge. Delicious.
We got up on Sunday morning, had a cracking breakfast then drove to Cramond beach, one of Mrs Ts childhood haunts, then over to Rosslyn Chapel. So my oroginal planned photo of me and dad up on the bridge is replaced with Rosslyn Chapel. If you've never been it's a great place, go check it out. We came home via Moffat again, same report as the way up, stunning. We've got priority booking before general sale for next years sunset trip, fingers crossed for better weather.
