Escalated quickly
I've been away from home for a couple of days this week. I left the house early, when I left I noticed that there was water and sand in the gutter and on my neighbour's drive. It was early, I figured he must've spilt some sand and tried to wash it away. I didn't think anything else until Nicky rang later in the day saying they had knocked on to say they've discovered a water leak and United Utilities are aware and will be along ASAP.
When I got home the next day it's grown arms and legs! UU have closed the pavement and dug a whopper hole! Very exciting. They came back today (Friday) and have done some more digging, then filled it with sand and stones. Hopefully we'll have the smell of fresh tarmac filling the air soon enough.
