Bridge Monitoring

I'm on a training course this week and it's on US time, so my workday isn't starting until 1500. Taking advantage of this, I've been for a walk to test a section of a route I'm going to cycle when the weather warms up. Anywho... this is bridge 5 on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds Liverpool canal. Where the spandrel wall meets the wing wall there's some movement. Probably caused by heavy traffic using the bridge, frost heave, or the fill material moving. These little orange discs are survey studs, the reflective prism tape in the middle allows surveyors to gather accurate position data for the bridge walls. I've had a look on google maps and they weren't there in 2023, so at some point in the last 3 years they've been stuck on and monitoring has begun.
